16 Cleaning and maintenance:
The power supply must be cut off before carrying out barrier cleaning and
maintenance operations.
16.1 Cleaning:
The cleaning frequency mainly depends on the environmental and climatic conditions in which the
barrier is used.
Do not use abrasive products for cleaning due to the risk of damaging electrical
cables or barrier coatings.
Protect conductive elements from humidity and dust to avoid the risk of short-
circuits.
Cleaning to be carried out:
•
External cleaning, checking of no knocks, scratches, etc. that promote the appearance of
corrosion
•
Internal dusting of the mechanical and electrical part
16.2 Maintenance plan:

Previously described cleaning operations

Check the tightening of all of the screws and bolts,
including securing to the ground as well as the
accessories
•
Check the connectors on the control board or PLC
•
Tightening of wires, good contact in the terminals
•
Visual inspection of the horizontal position of the boom
•
Visual inspection of the vertical position of the boom
Yearly
•
Visual inspection of the absence of bouncing after
opening or closing
•
Check the various barrier settings
•
Check that the safety components (magnetic loop,
sensor, ultrasonic sensor, etc.) are working properly
•
Check that the signalling components (flashing light,
bell, etc.) are working properly
•
Check that the locking components (lock, internal
locking, etc.) are working properly
•
Check that the selector switch is working properly
•
Check that the opening and closing remote controls are
working properly
•
Check that the opening and closing local controls are
working properly
