7) Formatting the hard disk
Important: Back up all the data in your hard disk before formatting it.
Note: ALL the data on the disk will be deleted when you format it.
7.1 Format the HDD by your DVR.
When you install a new HDD in the DVR, connect all cables correctly and switch on the DVR,
the system will ask you to format the HDD or not, select YES, the HDD will be formatted
automatically.
7.2 The DVR can be formatted like any other hard disk with Windows ®.
a) Under My Computer, right-click on the local disk of your DVR.
b) Select "Format..." from the context menu that appears.
c) Left click on the "Start" button and confirm that you want to format by clicking the "OK"
button.
