Pilot tone
The pilot tone function protects a wireless microphone system against interference, for example, unwanted signals from other radio trans-
mission systems. The transmitter adds a second, inaudible signal (the pilot tone) to the actual signal which is to be transmitted. The receiver
identifiesit as the matching pilottone and frees the associated signal. Signals without amatching pilot tone remain muted.
