Stopping engine
1) To stop the engine, lower the switch lever to the “0 “ position (Fig.27).
2) After using the chain saw for long periods of time, it is advisable to let the engine run at idle
speed or several seconds before operating the "0 " switch lever.
ATTENTION!
Accustom yourself to operating the STOP switch so that you will be able to
act promptly in the event of an emergency.
ATTENTION!
The chain will continue to move for some time after the throttle lever is
released.
Starting a warm engine
1) Raise the switch lever "I" (Fig 31 part.1).
2) Pull the air knob as far as it will go and then push it in to engage “THROTTLE ADVANCE-
MENT” - START.
3) Give the starter cord handle a strong pull until the engine starts fig. 34.
Starting with the engine hot after refuelling
1) If the fuel tank has been emptied completely, after refuelling follow the instructions given for
“starting with the engine cold “.
STOPPING THE ENGINE. The engine must always be stopped in the following cases:

When refuelling

When oiling the chain
-
When carrying out checks and repairs

When cleaning and adjusting the chain saw

When moving the chain saw in the working area

During transport
CHAIN SAW OPERATION

When necessary, this special type of chain saw may be used with a single
-
hand by a trained operator who is using a correct and safe working method to prune trees
and remove branches; all other operation, on the other hand, must be carried out 2 hands,
as required with a traditional chain saw (fig.11-A).

Comply with all safety rules described in chapter “SAFETY”.

Cut the tree by pushing the throttle lever all the way and come into contact with the wood
after the engine has reached full speed.
Using the chain saw on trees with ropes and slings
