Verification of Flow Switch Protection:
It is important to annually inspect and verify the safe and proper operation of the Tri-sensor’s Flow Switch protection device. We
recommend following this procedure to verify that the flow switch is working as designed, which is to halt power from being sent to
the cell in the presence of insufficient flow. A defective Flow Switch can cause serious equipment damage.
To test, turn the output dial to “0%”. Slowly, throttle or close ball valve #1 until flow to the cell(s) is reduced to less than 15
gallons per minute. DO NOT COMPLETELY CLOSE VALVE #1! Within a matter of ONE (1) TO TWO (2) seconds, this
flow obstruction should be indicated on the digital display and activate a red flashing “CHECK SYSTEM” light. As soon as
this protection feature has been verified as functioning properly, re-establish flow to the cell(s) by returning ball valve #1 to its
original flow setting. The system should IMMEDIATELY resume normal operation. If the flow switch protection is NOT
working properly, turn AC power off to the entire system IMMEDIATELY and consult your representative or Authorized
Service Centre.
