warden
call
systems,
Nursecall
systems
or
at
‐
home
alarm
units.
The
translator/repeater
performs
all
of
the
following
functions:

Where
should
the
Translator/Repeater
be
located?
The
translator/repeater
is
normally
free
‐
standing
and
can
be
simply
placed
on
a
table
or
shelf
in
the
home,
however
it
can
also
be
permanently
wall
mounted.
The
translator/repeater
is
for
internal
use
only
–
DO
NOT
SITE
OUTDOORS
.

The
translator/repeater
must
be
within
3
metres
of
a
mains
supply
otherwise
a
mains
extension
cable
will
be
required,
if
an
extension
is
used
take
care
to
ensure
no
one
can
trip
on
the
lead.
Translator/Repeater
Installation
Choose
a
suitable
in
‐
door
location
approx.
midway
between
the
furthest
point
you
want
to
achieve
radio
coverage
and
the
at
‐
home
alarm
unit
(or
receiver
on
warden
call/Nursecall
systems).
Please
note;
the
unit
meets
the
EN300
‐
220
category
1
classification
which
is
designed
to
reduce
the
effects
of
interference,
but
as
with
all
radio
transmissions,
the
range
of
the
unit
can
be
affected
by
environmental
factors
and
building
fabric.
To
confirm
the
operation
of
each
device
you
must
always
test
the
translator/repeater
in
location
with
the
peripheral
devices
that
are
being
used.
