DANGER
- The input and output connections of the UPS carry high voltages. Contact with them may carry significant risks of
death or serious injury.
- The UPS contains batteries. The output terminals may have a dangerous electric voltage even if the UPS is not connec-
ted to the power network.
- To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, the UPS must work in clean and indoor environments with controlled tempe-
rature and humidity. It must be kept away from inflammable liquids and corrosive substances. The room temperature
must not be above +40°C and the relative humidity must not be above 80% (not condensing).
- In order to isolate the equipment when not in operation, disconnect the power supply using an appropriate easily ac-
cessible disconnection device (to be installed by a specialist technician). The ON/OFF pushbutton does not electrically
isolate the internal components.
- Disconnect the UPS before cleaning it. Do not use liquid or spray cleaners.
DANGER
The operator cannot replace the batteries. Contact the LEGRAND Technical Support Service for replacement.
A battery may constitute a risk of an electric shock or burns due to the high short-circuit current. Defective batteries can
reach temperatures exceeding the burning thresholds on the surfaces that can be touched. When carrying out activities on
the batteries, carefully read the following instructions:
a) remove watches, rings or other metal objects;
b) use tools with insulated handles;
c) wear rubber gloves and boots;
d) do not lay tools or metal parts on top of batteries;
e) disconnect the charging source prior to connecting or disconnecting battery terminals;
f) determine if battery is inadvertently grounded. If inadvertently grounded, remove source from ground. Contact with
any part of a grounded battery can result in electrical shock. The likelihood of such shock can be reduced if such
grounds are removed during installation and maintenance (applicable to equipment and remote battery supplies not
having a grounded supply circuit).
g) When replacing the batteries, make sure that the new type is the same, and that the same number of batteries or bat-
tery sets are installed.
Do not dispose of batteries in a fire. The batteries may explode.
Do not open or mutilate batteries. Released electrolyte is harmful to the skin and eyes.
Batteries must be replaced with new ones, in the same number and of the same type.
The batteries installed inside the cabinet must be disposed of correctly. For the disposal requirements refer to local laws
and relevant standards.
WARNING
This is a product for commercial and industrial application in the second environment − installation restrictions or
additional measures may be needed to prevent disturbances.
CAUTION
The power of the load connected to the UPS output must not exceed the power indicated on the data label.
CAUTION
The skilled technician must not leave the installation and maintenance manual at the disposal of the operator.
