Taillight Modification– 2006+ Models
1. One taillight mounting stud and part of plastic
landing needs to be removed. This stud is the
short stud closest to pointed corner of red lens
closest to centerline of motorcycle when
mounted.

See Fig. 1
. Cut plastic and stud approximately
3/16” above tiny slot in bottom of landing. .
This will leave a flat base about 3/16’’ thick. .
3. Drill a 3/16” hole in center of new flat landing
for a screw to retain metal adapter.

. Insert short side of taillight adapter
to each light using the following hardware.
•
(2) Taillight Adapter– LP6301
•
(2) 1/4” SS Flat Washers– CW2006
•
(2) 10-24” x 1/2” Phillips Screws– CB1009
Rear Harness Modification

See Fig. 3.
Remove rubber grommet from
center
of LH/RH saddle bag wiring harness.
NOTE: Do not remove rear grommet from
taillight pocket wiring.
6.
Remove excess electrical tape and reposition
latch sensor connector toward front of harness.
Cover exposed wires with electrical tape.
