Manual White Balance
The "COLOR" function makes it possible to adapt the camera chip
to the ambient light so that color-neutral images can be acquired.
Whenever possible, always use a neutral gray chart to attain opti-
mum results.
Adjusting the white balance manually (recommended)
1. Place the gray chart under the microscope so that the entire field of
view is filled in.
2. Press the button on the remote control. The white balance is cali-
brated and saved to the camera.
Alternatively, you can also calibrate the white balance using the user menu.
1. Press the button
on the remote control.
2. Call up the "COLOR" entry.
3. Select the "SET WB" menu item.
4. Press the button
.
If you do not have a neutral gray area in the image or if the illumina-
tion has a very strong color cast, you can manually set the values for
"RED LEVEL", "BLUE LEVEL" and "BLACK LEVEL" until the image displays a
harmonious gray.
The white balance mode is always set to "MANUAL" after manually
adjusting the white balance, even if it was set to "AUTO" previously.
