Connecting the HDS6000 to a Notebook
Connection to the
notebook
1. Connect the HDS6000 to the notebook with a ethernet cable. The LAN connec-
tion should be automatically activated in the PC otherwise the attributes of the
LAN connection could be shown by choosing network connections. Set a check
mark at internet protocol (TCP/IP) and open the attributes. In attributes the fields
“source IP address automatically" and "source DNS address automatically" should
be checked.
2. Settings on the HDS6000:
• Switch on the HDS6000 (press the ON/OFF button for 0.3 sec.).
• Expand the main menu. Press
for 5 sec. after system start-up.
• Select
Settings
in the main menu using

• Then select

in the
DHCP Client
submenu. Confirm with

• Select
yes
in the
DHCP Server
submenu. Confirm with

• Reboot the HDS6000.
