2.2.2 Hazards from electrical energy
Shut down the NOVOLAS Basic AT immediately, if there are faults in the electric
energy supply. Regularly inspect the electrical equipment of the NOVOLAS Basic AT.

Figure 1: Mains power supply section. Z1 and Z2 are always connected to mains even
when mains switch is off.
•
When carrying out repair work, you can come into contact with parts, which
conduct hazardous voltage. Touching live parts can be fatal.
•
Be aware that the overvoltage protection Z1 and the filter Z2 are always
connected to mains even when main switch is off.
•
Fuses F1-F4 may only be exchanged, when mains switch is off, because both
contacts carry live hazard voltages.
•
Work on electrical equipment or operating materials may only be carried out by
electricians or from trained personnel under the management and supervision
of an electrician, in accordance with regulations.
•
Switch off the NOVOLAS Basic AT before commencing repair work and protect
it against unauthorized use.
•
Remove the mains plug before commencing repair work on Basic AT.
•
Check whether parts, which could be live during operation, are live.
