Safety Instructions
The following points should also be observed when operating the Basic AT.
•
The mains voltage must agree with the specifications on the type plate on the
equipment.
Low voltage hazard points
•
The NOVOLAS Basic AT conforms to Safety Class 1 and it is imperative that it
is connected to a continuous earth connection.
The NOVOLAS Basic AT earth leads are connected to the mains connection terminals
inside the supply unit and are marked with the appropriate symbol.
The NOVOLAS Basic AT is delivered without plug on the mains cable. It is the
responsibility of the operating company to correctly connect the mains cable and to
ensure a continuous earth connection.
2.2.3 Hazards from gases or vapours
When processing certain materials using the NOVOLAS Basic AT, toxic or non-toxic
gases and/or fumes can be emitted as a by-product. Please contact your material
supplier.
•
Ensure complete extraction and filtration of the gases/vapours produced. The
gases/vapours can be hazardous to health or cause irritation.
In the case of toxic gases and/or fumes, a vapour extraction system must be used to
completely extract and filter any emitted vapours.
The filters from the vapour extraction system may contain deposits of toxic
substances and may therefore require special handling and disposal procedures.

Observe the local standards and regulations for the disposal of toxic waste
material.
