Interfaces
Reset: Terminals 1/2
To start the system, the terminals 1 and 2 have to be closed with a potential free
switch for at least 100 ms. Only use external potential free switches (dry contacts).
The laser can only be enabled after test of safety relais has been completed, ca. 3
sec after starting the main power supply.
Emergency-stop channel#A and #B:
Terminals 3, 4 and 5, 6
The emergency stop button on front of the unit is connected in serial to the external
emergency stop switches. After an emergency stop, the blue reset button needs to be
pressed in order to restart the machine. Make sure that the emergency stop buttons
are released before the blue reset button is pressed. Only use external potential free
switches.
4.2.2 Individual Laser Unit Control Interface (X91-X94)

The individual laser module can only be enabled, if
both interlock circuits are closed simultaneously.
Only dry contacts are allowed! Be aware that the
terminals are not consecutive numbered! Delays
during opening or closing the contacts of the two
channels of more than 100 ms will cause a module
error. Shortage between the two circuits will be
detected. If one of the channels is electrically
opened, the interlock circuitry will short the current
input terminals immediately and the laser module
stops laser emission.
The interlock circuits are designed to provide a safe and software independent
possibility to switch off the laser diodes. If any of the two interlock channels is
electricaly open, the laser modules inputs are electrically shorted and therefore no
laser emission is possible. Terminals X91.1/X91.4 and X91.2/X91.3 have to be closed
by dry contacts. The two channels are checked for cross shortages and for
simultaneous activation. An error will be caused, if the circuits are not in the same
state for more than 100 ms or if they are not truly independent.
Only use switches appropriate for your safety needs.
Only use switches with dry contacts.
Please note that for safety reasons the terminals of the two circuits are not
consecutive.
