Important notices
•
The NOVOLAS Basic AT and all its accessories must be available at the
installation site.
•
If the machine is opened, you can come into contact with parts carrying
dangerous voltages. Touching live parts can lead to serious injuries or death.
The mains connection area including overvoltage protection and mains filter is
still life after the mains switch has been turned off. Be sure that there are no
live parts, the power lead is removed and the system is ptoected against
unauthorized activation before you open the NOVOLAS Basic AT system.
•
Electrostatic discharge ESD can damage the NOVOLAS Basic AT
components. Earth yourself and tools before you carry out work on the
controller and electronic components.
•
The NOVOLAS Basic AT system has to be connected correctly to a separate
power supply fused by a line safety switch rated 16A. The protective earth
connecter must be connected to the earth potential.
•
Caution: invisible laser radiation: Direct or scattered radiation can lead to
irreversible damage to eyes or skin.
5.2
Transportation
5.2.1 Local transportation
Local transportation is defined as moving the NOVOLAS Basic AT within a building
(Temperatures above 0°C).
The NOVOLAS Basic AT is fitted with 4 casters. For transport, it can be pushed on
plane surfaces. For longer distances use appropriate devices such as a fork-lift to
transport the NOVOLAS Basic AT. Make sure that cables and optical fibers are not
damaged during transportation (please note the minimum bending radius of the
optical fibre).
Proceed as follows:
•
Switch off the NOVOLAS Basic AT system
•
Disconnect all connection cables (electrical power, etc.)
•
Disconnect fiber optic cable (pay attention to the bending radius of the fiber,
see Installation Instructions). Fit the protective caps on all fiber optic cable
connectors, the laser module and the optic modules.
