External
Reference
Type
Sets the type of External Analog Reference connected to
the VTS. If set High, then sync input is selected (4 V
sync); if set Low, then composite input is selected (300
mV).
Composite

Test mode
Toggle On to enable the
Test
mode. If an RS-232 port is
connected to J1, then debug messages will be transmitted
from the VTS to the RS-232 port. Set the computer
terminal interface to no stop bits, 8 bits, and 1 parity bit
(N81). This mode is meant for debugging purposes and
should not be accessed during normal operation.

Replace
Serial Time
Delay
Replace Serial Time Delay works only if Replace Serial
(
SW1
position 3) is enabled. If Insert Black (
SW1
position
B) is set for “Output other PGM Input”, the Time Delay is
set to X value other than 0 sec (0 to 15 sec in 0.5 sec
increments).
When either output is replaced by Serial Input on PGM 1 IN
or PGM 2 IN due to signal loss or noisy signal, it will take X
amount of time to recover from the moment when the
original Input signal is fed back to PGM 1 IN/PGM 2 IN.
Example:
• When PGM 1 IN is lost, PGM 2 IN is fed to PGM 1
OUT until PGM 1 IN becomes continuously valid
throughout the delay time.
• Once valid and delay time has passed, it will switch
back to PGM 1 IN to PGM 1 OUT.
• The process is identical for PGM 2 IN.
