Sampling Frequency
The green sampling
Frequency
LEDs indicate if the ADC-6880 is
sampling at 48 or 44.1 kHz. If the ADC-6880 is set to
External Sampling
mode, and the external reference is not at 48 or 44.1 kHz, then the
ADC-6880 will indicate that it is locked to an external reference (via the
Ref. Pres.
LED), but will not have either sampling frequency LED
illuminated.
This condition is valid, but the external reference signal must be between
32 and 50 kHz for the A-to-D converter IC to be able to lock to it.
External Reference Present
The yellow
Ext Ref
LED indicates that an external reference is present,
the ADC-6880 is locked to it and using it as the sampling reference. If the
ADC-6880 is set to internal sampling reference, then this LED will not
be illuminated, even if an external reference is present.
External Reference Error
The red external reference
Error
LED is illuminated when an error on the
external reference signal is detected.
