Channel Swap Control
Two types of swap control are provided:
• A main swap which routes particular de-embedded audio channels to
specific outputs.
• A monitor swap which is used to swap only the analog outputs for
monitoring purposes. This swap does not affect the AES digital
output routing.
The ASM series modules provide the same module edge-control features
as the ADM series, but the ASM provides
only
analog outputs, making
the main and monitor swaps redundant. The user can use either swap to
perform the appropriate routing to outputs.
The intention of main swap control is to allow the user to appropriately
set the routing of particular audio channels to the specific output
connectors. The main swap control affects both analog and digital
outputs.
SW1
enables a swap between channel pairs 1 and 2.
SW2
enables
a swap between the A and B channels within each channel pair. This is
functionally illustrated inFigure 3-1 ‘‘ADM Series Modules’’ on page 36
and Figure 3-2 ‘‘ASM Series Modules’’ on page 37, and is summarized in
the table below:
