Audio Group Selection
The SMPTE 272M standard stipulates that embedded audio is packaged
into groups. Serial video at 143Mb/s can only support one audio group,
while serial video at 270 Mb/s can support up to four audio groups. (
See
the table below for the DIP switch settings.)
Module Edge Indicator Descriptions
The ASM/ADM series modules have the following module edge
indicators.

For 143 Mb/s serial video
applications, Group 1 must be
selected.
LED
Indicator
Function
VID_PRES
Indicates the presence of a valid video present or input.
AUD_PRES
Indicates the presence of a selected embedded audio group
(as specified by DIP switches 3 and 4).
AUD_ERR
Indicates an OR function of checksum error, parity error, and
data block number error.
UNLOCKED Indicates that the audio clock PLL is not locked to the input
video signal; this indicator will also light up in the absence of a
valid video input.
