Manual Channel Search
It is possible to set channels that do not fit to the standard RF channel raster implemented for
the different countries. Highlight
Frequency
and press
OK
.
Channel frequency
can set
manually using the number keys “0 ... 9” e.g. 578000. If a wrong frequency is entered, the
last entered frequency or a default frequency will be used for scanning.
Highlight
Bandwidth
to select 6, 7 or 8 Mhz depending the DVB-T network in your region.

to start the search for channels
The search will start directly for the selected frequency and channels found will be displayed.
The graphical user interface of the manual search mode is equal to the automatic search
mode already introduced in chapter:
First Time Setup mode

Outdoor Antenna Orientation in manual search
You must know at least one frequency and bandwidth on which channels are transmitted in
your region. (e.g. Frequency 578Mhz at bandwidth 8 Mhz). Start scanning as described
above. Wait for a few seconds and watch the Signal Level graphic display. If it does not show
any indication, turn the antenna to maximize the signal. Press the
YELLOW
or the
EXIT
key
to return to the manual search menu and start the search sequence again. When you
approach the direction of the transmitter, the Signal Level should rise and if channels are
found, they will be displayed in the list.
If the Signal Level never rises, it is because the channel number you have chosen is
incorrect, or transmission is too distant for your (directional) antenna or there is no DVB-T
transmission in your area.
