Removing a blade handle
Use these instructions to remove a blade handle.
The following illustration shows how to remove a blade handle.
To remove a blade handle, complete the following steps.
Step 1. Before you begin, read “Safety” on page iii and “Installation guidelines” on page 37.
Step 2. If the blade server is installed in a BladeCenter unit, remove it (see “Removing the blade server from
the BladeCenter unit” on page 39 for instructions).
Step 3. Carefully lay the blade server on a flat, static-protective surface, with the cover side down.
Step 4. Locate the blade handle that you will be removing.
Step 5. Locate the screw that attaches the blade handle to the blade server.
Step 6. Remove the screw from the blade handle and save the screw in a safe place. It is recommended to
use the same screw when installing a blade handle.
Step 7. If you are instructed to return the blade handle, follow all packaging instructions, and use any
packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
