Follow this procedure to attach the power cables and power on the drive
shelves.
Before you begin
• You have installed your hardware.
• You have taken anti-static precautions.

Cabling examples:
Example A: A DE6000H controller shelf with
three DE120S/DE224 disk shelves in a
standard SAS configuration.
a. Cable controller A to IOM A of the first
drive shelf.
b. Cable IOM A of the first drive shelf to IOM
A of the second drive shelf.
c. Cable IOM A of the second drive shelf to
IOM A of the third drive shelf.
d. Cable controller B to IOM B of the third
drive shelf.
e. Cable IOM B of the second drive shelf to
IOM B of the third drive shelf.
f. Cable IOM B of the first drive shelf to IOM
B of the second drive shelf.
