Chapter 7. Maintenance Commands
The
maintenance
commands
are
used
to
manage
dump
information
and
forward
database
information.
They
include
debugging
commands
to
help
with
troubleshooting.
Dump
information
contains
internal
switch
state
data
that
is
written
to
flash
memory
on
the
RackSwitch
G8332
after
any
one
of
the
following
occurs:
The
watchdog
timer
forces
a
switch
reboot.
The
purpose
of
the
watchdog
timer
is
to
reboot
the
switch
if
the
switch
software
freezes.
The
switch
detects
a
hardware
or
software
problem
that
requires
a
reboot.
To
use
the
maintenance
commands,
you
must
be
logged
in
to
the
switch
as
the
administrator.
