Static Multicast MAC Configuration
The
following
options
are
available
to
control
the
forwarding
of
known
and
unknown
multicast
packets:
All
multicast
packets
are
flooded
to
the
entire
VLAN.
This
is
the
default
switch
behavior.
Known
multicast
packets
are
forwarded
only
to
those
ports
specified.
Unknown
multicast
packets
are
flooded
to
the
entire
VLAN.
To
configure
this
option,
define
the
Multicast
MAC
address
for
the
VLAN
and
specify
ports
that
are
to
receive
multicast
packets
(
mac
address
table
multicast
).
Known
multicast
packets
are
forwarded
only
to
those
ports
specified.
Unknown
multicast
packets
are
dropped.
To
configure
this
option:
Define
the
Multicast
MAC
address
for
the
VLAN
and
specify
ports
that
are
to
receive
multicast
packets
(
mac
address
table
multicast
).
Enable
Flood
Blocking
on
ports
that
are
not
to
receive
multicast
packets
(
interface
port
<port
alias
or
number>
)
(
flood
blocking
).
Use
the
following
commands
to
configure
static
Multicast
MAC
entries
in
the
Forwarding
Database
(FDB).
