• To install the new PCI Express solid-state drive on the riser card assembly 2, note the dotted lines
in the following illustration to help you correctly position the PCI Express solid-state drive near the
PCI Express card slot on the riser card assembly 2. Then, carefully press the new PCI Express
solid-state drive straight into the slot until it is securely seated and its bracket also is secured by
the riser card assembly 2.
Note:
For server models with two microprocessors, you can install the new PCI Express solid-state
drive into one of the three slots. For server models with one microprocessor, you can install the new
PCI Express solid-state drive into the low-profile PCI Express card slot.

10. Reinstall the parts that have been removed and reconnect the cables that have been disconnected.
11. Reinstall the riser card assembly. See “Replacing the riser card assembly 1” on page 155 or “Replacing
