REMOVING
AND
REINSTALLING
THE
FRONT
I/O
MODULE
Do not proceed before reading and understanding the "Safety Precautions" section of this chapter and "Read Me First".
To remove the front I/O module, do the following:
1.
Turn off all attached devices and the server
2.
Disconnect the AC power cord from the electrical outlet
3.
Remove the server cover (See "Removing and reinstalling the server cover").
4.
Remove the front cables on MB
5.
Remove screws for front I/O module (Step 1)
6.
Pull-out the front I/O module (Step 2)
4×3.5-inch I/O Module 10x2.5-inch I/O Module
To reinstall, reverse the steps above.

BACK
PLANE
Do not proceed before reading and understanding the "Safety Precautions" section of this chapter and "Read Me First".
To remove the back plane, do the following:
1.
Turn off all attached devices and the server.
2.
Disconnect the AC power cord from the electrical outlet.
3.
Remove the server cover (See "Removing and reinstalling the server cover").
4.
Disconnect the power and SATA/ NVMe cables on the back plane
5.
Open the latch on back plane (Step 1) – Only for 4x3.5-inch HDD configuration
6.
Grab the back plane and turn it away from the location pin. (Step 2) – Only for 4x3.5-inch HDD configuration
7.
Lift up and remove the back plane
4×3.5-inch HDD configuration
10×2.5-inch HDD configuration
To reinstall, reverse the steps above.
