REMOVING
AND
REINSTALLING
THE
SUPERCAP
AND
HOLDER
Do not proceed before reading and understanding the "Safety Precautions" section of this chapter and "Read Me First".
To install and to remove the supercap/holder, do the following:
1.
Turn off all attached devices and the server.
2.
Disconnect the AC power cord from the electrical outlet.
3.
Remove the server cover (See "Removing and reinstalling the server cover").
4.
For 4x3.5-inch HDD configuration (Location A)
i.
Pull the latch of supercap holder (Step 1)
ii.
Lift up the supercap. (Step 2)
4×3.5-inch HDD configuration
To reinstall, reverse the steps above.
4.
For 10x2.5-inch HDD configuration (Location B), the holder dummy needs to be disassembled before supercap being installed.
i.
Push down the buckle on the dummy holder (Step 1)
ii.
Slide and lift up the dummy holder (Step 2)
iii.
Align the supercap holder to the locating holes, put the holder and slide in to fix it. (Step 3)

Pull the latch of supercap holder (Step 4)
v.
Put the supercap sliding into the holder (Step 5)
vi.
Press the supercap into the holder (Step 6) and check the latch fix the supercap.

To remove, reverse the steps above.
