HOLD will display the appropriate amount of holdover to use, which
is based upon the ballistics group and sight-in distance you will
choose in a later mode . The upper display shows the line of sight
distance to the target . The lower display shows the appropriate
number of inches or centimeters to hold over or under . In the
example to the right, the line of sight distance is 484 yards, and
the lower display indicates that you should hold 51 .4 inches
above your intended point of impact . If the RX-1600i TBR/W is
set to range in meters, the appropriate holdover would be shown in
centimeters .
MIL will display the appropriate amount of holdover in milliradians
to use, which is based upon the ballistics group and sight-in
distance you will choose in a later mode . The upper display shows
the line of sight distance to the target . The lower display shows the
appropriate number of mils to hold over or under . In the example
to the right, the line of sight distance is 484 yards, and the lower
display indicates that you should hold 2 .9 mils above your intended
point of impact . Holdover values will be displayed in mils for both
yards and meters modes .
