Connect the host interface of the BCL acc. to EMC via shielded cables to the host. At the same
time, keep the maximum cable lengths in mind (see Table 7.6, on page 83).
2.
Mount the shielding on one end
In the base setting, the BCL communicates with the host via the host interface of which the parameters
are listed in Table 7.14.

Damage to the interface module!
Incorrect connection of the host interface may lead to damage to electronic components in
the BCL. This also applies to the adjustment of the host interface connection in the connec-
tor units (configuration).
• Correctly connect the host interface acc. to Figure 7.2.
• Carefully check the circuitry before switching on the BCL.
