Setting the local time
Turn the outer ring on the front of the clock to the desired time zone. Press
and hold MODE and SET for three seconds. The time displayed at the top
will change to the desired time.
If the time is not correct, press and hold SET for three seconds. The seconds
will begin to flash. Press MODE or AL. OFF to
reset the seconds. Press SET again to set the
time to the correct time. The sequence of time
adjustments is second/hour/minute/Daylight
Savings Time. Press MODE to increase the
time, and AL.OFF to decrease the time.
When setting the time, the Time Traveler
alternates between 12- hour (AM/PM) and
24-hour (military) time. To set the time in your
prefered mode, you will need to cycle through
the mode you do not want to use. Once the time is
correct, press SET to return to normal use.
While setting the time, Daylight Savings Time
(DST) is the last function to set. You will see a
small sun icon flashing to the left of the time. If
you are observing DST, press the MODE button to
turn it on. To adjust it after the time has been set,
simply press the SET button once to alternate
between on or off.
Keeping time straight in multiple time zones can be tricky. Rotate
the Time Traveler’s outer ring to stop in
24 time zones around the world, from
Caracas to Cairo and Tokyo to Sydney.
As you turn the ring, a small black dot
appears on the map showing you each
time zone. The bottom display gives
you the time there, while the top display
keeps your home time. The clock also
features a snooze alarm, day and date,
and the lid folds back to serve as the stand.
