Device Tests
Quick Disk Test
This test performs a non-destructive read/write test on one block per track on the disk. The test reads one block
on each track, saves the data, and then writes and reads four test patterns to the bytes in the block. If the block
is good, then the saved data is written back to the disk.
Note:
This test is available only on the MS610de model.
To run the quick disk test:

From the Diagnostics menu, navigate to:
Device Tests
>
Quick Disk Test

The power indicator blinks while the test is in progress.
•
Quick Disk Test/Test Passed
appears if the test passes.
•
Quick Disk Test/Test Failed
appears if the test fails.

Press
X
to return to the Device tests menu.
Disk Test/Clean
Warning—Potential Damage:
This test destroys all data on the disk and should not be attempted on a good
disk. This test may run approximately 1.5 hours, depending on the disk size.
Note:
This test is available only on the MS610de model.

to cancel.
The test cannot be stopped or canceled after it has begun.

After the test is complete, a message appears indicating a pass or fail result.

to return to the Device tests menu.
Flash Test
This test verifies the condition of the flash device by writing data to it and then reading data from it.
Warning—Potential Damage:
This test destroys all data on the flash device.
Note:
After this test is executed, reformat the flash using the Flash Format setting in the Utilities menu.
