Restoring Factory
Defaults
The printer is restoring
factory defaults.
No button actions are
possible while this
message is displayed.
Performing Self Tests
The printer is running
the normal series of
start-up tests after it is
powered On. When the
tests are complete, the
printer returns to Ready.

possible while this
message is displayed.
Not Ready
(Press Go)
The printer is in the Not
Ready state, which
means it is not ready to
receive or process data.
This message displays
when Menu> or <Menu
is pressed during a print
job.
Press Go to take the
printer out of the Not
Ready state. Press
Menu> or <Menu to
take the printer out of
Ready and enter the
TESTS MENU (Busy
state). Press Menu>
until Reset Printer is
on the second line of
the display. Press
Select to reset the
printer.
Resetting Printer
The printer is deleting
any print jobs in process
and restoring all settings
to user defaults.

possible while this
message is displayed.
Formatting Flash
(Do Not Power Off)
The flash memory is
being formatted.
No button actions are
possible while this
message is displayed.
Program Flash
(Do Not Power Off)
The flash memory is
being programmed,
which means fonts or
macros are being written
to flash memory.
