When handling parts sensitive to static electricity
1 Store the parts in the protection package until they are mounted in the product, in order to protect them.
2 Wear a ground wrist lace around your wrist to remove static electricity from the body.
3 Do not let the part come in contact with the clothes. (Most of clothes are insulators, so even if you wear a wrist lace, you still have
changes.)
4 If you use a black side of the grounded working mat, you can create an ESD free environment. It is very useful when you handle
parts sensitive to ESD.
5 To prepare a protection equipment that satisfies the specific service condition, select the following types of grounding systems.
•
It is desirable to use a grounding system, but it is not required for ESD prevention.
NOTE
No.
Grounding System
Attach an ESD grounding clip to the system ground, the ground wire or the green ground wire.
When working on the dual insulation or battery based system, use the ESD common ground or reference
point.
In addition, you can use the copper axis or external connector shell for the system.
The PC operating with AC power uses a round ground plugs for the AC plug.
Grounding Conditions
If you connect the PC to the ground, you can ensure the safety of worker and also guarantee that the system operates properly.
The ground for the electrical outlet should be checked by approved electrical technicians.
Cautionary Items for Batteries (Laptop/Tablet)
Items
Cautions
The backup battery (RTC Battery) contains a slight amount of lithium and manganese. Do not disassemble,
recharge the backup battery, or throw it in the water or make an electrical short circuit in it. You should handle
the battery according to the regulations. You need to only use or replace with the battery in the part list. If the
battery is used/replaced in an incorrect way, it can cause ignition or explosions. (Depending on the type of PC,
there could be no backup battery in it.)
Battery pack contains a slight amount of nickel. Do not disassemble the battery, or throw it in the water or
make an electrical short circuit in it. You should handle the battery according to the regulations. When replacing
the battery, you must only use or replace with the battery in the part list. If the battery is used/replaced in an
incorrect way, it can cause ignition or explosions.
Lithium ion battery (main battery) can cause ignition, explosion or severe burn injury. Do not recharge or
disassemble the battery, remove the pole connectors from it, heat it above 60
℃
(140
℉
) , incinerate it or drop
the content of battery in water. You should handle the battery according to the regulations. You need to only
use or replace with the battery in the part list. If the battery is used/replaced in an incorrect way, it can cause
ignition or explosions.
