Step 2. Tightening
• Align the center of the pipes and sufficiently
tighten the flare nut by hand.
• Tighten the flare nut with a wrench until the
wrench clicks
• Tightening torque is as following.
Step 3. Preventing entering of foreign
objects
• Plug the pipe through-holes with putty or insu-
lation material (procured locally) to fill up all
gaps as shown in right figure.
• If insects or small animals enter the outdoor
unit, it may cause a short circuit in the electrical
box.
• Finally, form the pipes by wrapping the con-
necting portion of the indoor unit with insulation
material and secure it with two kinds of vinyl
tape. Ensuring thermal insulation is very impor-
tant.
