IMPORTANT:
Select the right power wire according to the
recommended wire selection table 1 (Page 14) and
connection diagram as per Figures 1 & 2 (Page 10 & 11).
DANGER :
The unit should be supplied by grounded source.
DO NOT operate the unit without ground source
.
CAUTION:
High DC voltage present on the battery connector
when battery circuit breaker is turned on. DO NOT
touch these battery connectors.
CAUTION:
Use digital multimeter (DMM) to make sure the
battery voltage and polarity is correct. Wrong polarity
will cause damage to UPS. For easy identification
the line and positive terminations are red in colour &
neutral and negative are black in colour
.
CAUTION:
DO NOT connect input wires of UPS to a 15 amp wall
receptacle. The input current requirements of the
UPS exceed the current rating of the wall receptacle.
Connect the UPS to an utility panel whose
current rating is suitable. It is highly recommended
that use of circuit breaker in the wiring system to
gain better protection.
All wiring for the UPS should be done by an qualified
electrical technician since high voltage may be
present.
Ensure that input circuit breaker and battery circuit
breaker are in off position before connecting input
wires and battery wires to UPS.
The connectors are located at the rear section of the UPS inside the lower
rear panel. The protective panel must be removed for access by loosening
the appropriate screws (see Page 13 Fig.3). Table 2 (in page 16) shows
input and output currents for each rated voltage.
Be sure to follow all pertinent local electrical codes when selecting the
wiring
.
