•
Avoid getting clothing etc. entangled
in the throttle.
Driving in reverse
n
Push the control lever upwards.
The wheelchair will move backwards.
Attention:
•
The further the lever is pushed
upwards, the higher the speed.
•
The maximum reverse speed is
approximately half the maximum
forward speed.
Brakes
If you need to brake during a walk when
using the push assist, the push assist will
support this. This makes it easier to walk
down a slope.
n
Do not depress the control lever as far,
or release it completely.
The parking brake will be activated
automatically when the throttle is not
operated.
Transfer of occupant
Warning:
•
Always switch off the push assist
when the occupant gets in or out.
Using the Aura
Attention:
Before making a journey,
check whether the battery is fully charged.
Insufficient charging can mean that the
assist stops on the way (see also ‘Chec-
king the battery’).
1. Check that the battery switch is on (the
red light on the switch is on).
2. Switch on the push assist.
3. Select a maximum driving speed.
Drive forwards
n
Push the control lever downwards.
The wheelchair will move forwards.
Warning:
•
Never fasten the throttle.
Attention:
•
The further the lever is depressed,
the higher the speed.
•
The selection switch set-up
determines the speed of a fully
depressed control lever.
•
Release the throttle in good time
when approaching obstacles.
Moving too fast over an obstacle
(e.g. pavement) may cause the
wheelchair to suddenly stop and
cause discomfort to the occupant.
•
The wheelchair parking brake is
released automatically if the control
lever is depressed. When the control
lever is no longer used and wheelchair
comes to a halt, the parking brake
will again be deployed. Switching
the brake on and off makes a clicking
sound.
