Headrest (optional)
Removing / adjusting the height of the
headrest*
1. Loosen the wingnut (A).
2.
Adjust the height and retighten the
wingnut, or remove the headrest from the
wheelchair.

Lumbar support (optional)
Place the lumbar support behind the backrest
upholstery as shown in the image on the
right.
Tip:
•
This is an indication of a possible
position, using the vertical velcro
straps, the lumbar support can be
positioned as desired.
Seat belt (optional)
The seat belt is intended to keep the user
in position. Attach it on or around the metal
seat frame.
N.B.:
•
The optional wheelchair seat belt is
not suitable for use as a safety belt.
Use
Transferring to and from the chair
The Cumulix is a wheelchair for users with various
handicaps. Transfers from the wheelchair to, for
example, a bed, toilet or shower and vice versa
can be made in various ways. The extent to
which the wheelchair user is able to cooperate
determines how he or she should be lifted. Both
active and passive transfers are possible with
the Cumulix, with the aid of the care provider
or using a lift.
Attention:
•
Always engage the brake before
transferring to or from the chair.
Forwards transfer
Tip:
•
During a transfer from a passive lift
into a Cumulix, first tip the wheelchair
without user so that the user can be
optimally positioned in the chair.
Tackling obstacles
1.
Press the push-handles downwards and
push with your foot on the step tube.
2. Push the wheelchair onto the obstacle and
remove your foot from the step tube.
3. Push the wheelchair further and lift the back
wheels over the obstacle by the push bar.
Attention:
•
You can go up a sidewalk or small step
forwards but it is better to leave the
sidewalk or step backwards.
•
Keep your speed under control on
gentle slopes.
