ADJUSTING THE SEAT
HEIGHT
The seat adjustment knob is an elastic
knob which allows you to adjust
the seat height without completely
removing it from the bike frame.
1. Loosen the seat adjustment knob
(20)
, then pull on the knob head to
slide the seat up or down. Six holes
in the seat post provide a range of
height options.
2. Push the adjustment knob back in.
Ensure it is securely inserted into one
of the height adjustment holes, then
tighten the knob to secure the seat.

ADJUSTING THE PEDAL
TENSION
There are eight pedal resistance levels
which allow you to increase or decrease
the difficulty of pedaling.
1. Turn the pedal tension knob
(2)
clockwise to increase the pedal
resistance.
2. Turn the pedal tension knob
(2)
counter-clockwise to decrease the
pedal resistance.
CAUTION:
We strongly recommend
beginning with the lowest pedal
resistance and slowly working your way
up to higher resistance levels when you
get used to riding the X-FlexCycle.
NOTE:
For best results, only adjust the
pedal tension during exercise.

ADJUSTING THE PEDAL
STRAPS
The pedals have safety straps to keep
your feet from sliding off. Each strap
has six adjustment holes along the
outside of the strap
(D)
allowing you
to lengthen or shorten the straps to fit
your foot.
1. Put your right foot on the right pedal
and adjust the safety strap so it is
snug (but not tight) across the top of
your foot. Your foot should be able to
slide easily in and out.
2. Adjust the left pedal’s safety strap in
the same manner.
USING THE PULSE HAND
SENSORS
The front handle bars have two built-in
hand sensors
(E)
which allows pulse to
be measured and displayed.
1. Select pulse mode (see OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS on page 20–21).
2. Grasp the hand sensors with both
hands while exercising. Hold the
sensors firmly but not too tightly.
3. Your current pulse will display on the
computer
(C)
after a few seconds.
NOTE:
If the sensors become damp, it
may be difficult to get a pulse reading.
