Selecting Event numbers
You may choose to mark the
blood glucose reading with
an Event number (1–9). This
allows you or your
healthcare professional to
analyze the trends in your
blood glucose readings more
easily. You can set up the
Event categories to meet
your own needs. For
instance to highlight:
• Particular times of the day
(readings taken when you
are fasting, before or after a
meal, or at bedtime)
• Physical activity (readings
taken before or after
exercise)
• Information about your
condition (readings taken
during illness, or when
symptoms of high or low
blood sugar occur)
• Information about the
circumstances (a larger or
smaller meal than usual,
snacks, missed meals,
missed medication)
Some examples of Event
categories you might choose
to use are:
Event 1. Fasting blood
glucose readings
Event 2. Before-lunch
glucose readings
Event 3. Before-dinner
glucose readings
Event 4. Before-bedtime
