Make sure you did not apply too
much blood to the test strip. You
have applied too much blood if
there is no white visible on the
white pad.

Directly after the meter displays
a result, compare the colour of
the test strip confirmation dot with
the Colour Chart on the test strip
package (see pages 34 and 35).
Health Conditions Causing
Out-of-Range Results
If you are getting results outside
your range of expected blood glucose
levels, and you are certain that the

Meter and SureStep
®
Test Strips are working together
properly, ask yourself the follow-
ing questions:
“How do I feel?”
“Do I have symptoms of low blood
glucose (hypoglycemia): slurred
speech, headache, tingling of lips,
cool sweating, rapid heartbeat,
disorientation, weakness, dizziness,
fainting, hunger, nervousness,
irritability, or tremors?”
IMPORTANT:
If you have followed the tips to
ensure accuracy and your blood
glucose results are still out of range,
call your healthcare professional.
