THIS DOCUMENT WILL EXPLAIN THE BEST PRACTICES AND REOCMMENDE D FOR SAFE USAGE &

HANDLING OF YOUR LIGHTBOARD KITS.

HANDLING YOUR

GLASS

 LIGHTBOARD KIT

Y)

TRANSPORTATION

Lightboards made with the GLASS writing canvas can be quite heavy, and it is highly advised that

TWO

 people are

present whenever moving or otherwise transporting the LightBoard, either short or long distances.

Lifting should always be done with the legs, and with a straight back, and following proper

ergonomic lifting techniques to avoid injury.

If you are unsure or uncomfortable about lifting objects heavier

50lbs (22kg) [25lbs per

person with two people]

, you should NOT attempt to carry this LightBoard by yourself, and

consult a friend or family member to assist in your place.

HANDLING

The Glass writing canvas is

FRAGILE

and should be handled with great care and used/placed

securely in an area away from children and/or significant physical activity.

If the Lightboard is dropped, or otherwise struck with significant force, it is highly likely to

shatter and poses a serious risk of injury. The glass will break into large, dangerous pieces and

should be handled with EXTREME caution when cleaning up.

In the event the Glass is broken, you should use

extreme caution

to first: isolate the area in which the glass has

fallen, then attempt to clean the mess up from a safe distance using necessary protective equipment. If necessary

or safety equipment is unavailable, hire a professional to assist in safe cleaning & disposal of the broken glass.

If you do not feel safe or comfortable cleaning the broken glass DO NOT attempt to do it yourself, and consult with

your friends, family and/or a professional first before going any further. Just be sure that the area is well isolated

from pets & people to avoid unnecessary injury if they are unaware of the situation.
