Programming
General
Information
The SOLAIR can be programmed and operated using the MODBUS
Protocol. The full MODBUS protocol is detailed in Appendix B.

“Configuring the RS485
Ethernet Adapter” in
Chapter 4 for setting up
Ethernet Communications.
This chapter contains the information needed to program the basic
configuration for the instrument to meet the user’s needs.
Communicating
with the
Instrument
The RJ-45 connector on the instrument marked “RS-485” in Figure 7-1
is used to connect the unit to a COM port on a desktop or laptop PC.
WARNING:
+24VDC is
present on RS-485 Port pin
7 when instrument power is
applied.
