The Channel A/B switch is located inside the
battery compartment. The switch is set to
Channel B at the factory.
1. Slide the power switch on the side of
the HM-70 all the way up. The power
indicator LED will glow red and stay on.
2. The center position of the power
switch is MUTE. When in this mode,
the HM-70 is transmitting a signal, but
no audio can be heard through the sys-
tem. This is useful if you wish to
temporarily turn audio off during a
private conversation.
3. Do not adjust the audio gain adjuster
that is located in the battery
compartment. It has been preset by
factory technicians and is not intended
as a volume control.
4. When holding the HM-70, grip the
barrel in the center section just below
the power switch. Avoid gripping the
HM-70 around the bottom, cover-
ing the infrared emitters circling
the base. This could interrupt signal
transmission from the microphone to
the receiver.
5. Speak directly into the top of the
microphone at a normal level, holding
the grill about 2 inches from your
mouth, no lower than chin height.
6. Slowly adjust the B VOLUME control
to a desired level.
7. To turn the HM-70 off, slide the switch
to the OFF position (make sure the
power indicator light is off).
8. At the end of the day, make sure to plug
the microphone back into the charger
so it is ready for use the following day.
1. The LightMic has a built-in microphone.
Once the transmitter is switched on, the
microphone is activated.
2. The LightMic is typically worn around
the teacher’s neck as a hands free,
pendant-style microphone. Due to its
unique design, it can also be used as a
handheld microphone for student
pass-around use. For hands-free,
teacher use:
• Clip the LightMic to the supplied
lavaliere cord.
• Place the LightMic and cord around
your neck and adjust the length so
the top of the LightMic sits just
below your collar bone.

Operating the LightMic
3. On the side of the LightMic is the Chan-
nel select switch. Ensure the switch is in
the “A” position. (If a second LightMic
is used for simultaneous operation, set
one LightMic to Channel A and the
second LightMic to Channel B.)
4. Slide the ON/OFF switch on the side of
the LightMic to ON. The triangle-
shaped light on the front glows red,
indicating the microphone is charged
and ready for use.
5. The IR indicator to the left of the A
VOLUME control will light indicating
that the LES 750iR is receiving a signal
from the LightMic.
6. To turn the LightMic off, slide the
switch to the OFF position.
7. At the end of the day, make sure to plug
the microphone back into the charger
so it is ready to use the following day.
