- Never allow children to operate or play with drive mechanisms.
- Do not allow children to play with door controls. Keep remote controls out of the reach of children.
- Watch the door in movement and keep the people at a distance until it is completely open or closed.
- If the cord knob is actuated while the door is open, there is a danger that the door will close rapidly if the
springs are weak, broken or defective, or if the counterbalance is inadequate.
- Frequently check the installation (in particular the transmission parts (chain), the cables, springs and
supports) for any unbalance or signs of wear and damage. If repairs or adjustments are required, do not
use the operator until the necessary repairs or adjustments have been made, because it may cause
injuries to people and/or damage objects.
- Before installing the operator, ensure that the door is in good mechanical conditions, correctly balanced
and it opens and closes correctly.
- Remove all unnecessary ropes or chains and disable any equipment, such as locks. They are not
needed for powered operation.
- Check at monthly intervals that the gear motor inverts the movement immediately after the door touches
an object at 50mm from the ground. If necessary adjust and check again, as incorrect adjustments may
cause hazards. This operation must be carried out by a professional fitter.
- Information concerning the adjustment of the door and the operator:
- Install the manual release organ at a height lower than 1,80m.
- Fix the labels warning against crushing/entrapment in a permanent way and in a clearly visible
position or near to any fixed controls.
- Fix in a permanent way the labels relating to the manual release and position close to the actuating
member.
