4.2 Sweep operation
NOTE
We recommend that you always sweep in the wind direction.
This prevents thrown up sweepings from hitting the operator or
fouling the motor. For winter service in particular, the motor
function can be impaired.
4.2.1 Starting the motor
ð
Ensure that the spark plug connector has not been pulled
off.
ð
Open the fuel cock (if present, see the operating manual
provided by the motor manufacturer in the sub-package for
the sweeping machine).
ð
Place the fuel control lever on “Max” (choke position).
ð
Start the motor with a forceful pull on the starting rope.
ð
After a few seconds set the fuel control lever back far
enough that the motor no longer runs in choke, but in the
full load range.
4.2.2 Stopping the motor
ð
Slide the fuel control lever in the “Stop” direction until the
motor switches off.
ð
Close the fuel cock (if present).
