Some broadcasters need to insert local audio programming into a network or syndicated
program feed. It is often an advantage to do this audio insert right in the AERO.100. Setting
DRC Local to the Local mode an AES or SDI embedded audio source pair can be routed to the
9/10 input of any processing Instance. The routing is found here:
Instance 1 > Source > Input 9/10.
Any AES or SDI input source can be chosen from the drop-down.
This DRC Local UPMAX upmixing processor is intended to work with a stereo audio source.
UPMAX can be enabled or disabled manually, by GPI or by IP command. Setup parameters for
the Upmix Local are set, saved and recalled, independently of the DRC 1 upmix. UPMAX local is
only available in AMX5.1 Instances. See Figure 4-24, below.

The heart of the AERO.100 is found in the DRC settings. This is where program loudness control
takes place. There are a number of factory presets and they are found here:
