File Input and Output
RMV's internal library or imported from an external location, the Kit Information display
shows the Kit's descriptive attributes (the actual attributes are listed below). Secondly, the
Kit Information display enables a Kit's descriptive attributes to be edited prior to the Kit
being saved or exported. Note that only some of the descriptive attributes can be edited by
the user.
The following descriptive attributes can be saved in a Kit file:
Name:
Displays the name of the current Kit file. This control is also used to
enter the name of the Kit when a new Kit file is created.
Type:
Displays the type of the current Kit file. This control is also used to
enter the Kit Type when a new Kit file is created. Available Types are
sampled and synthesized.
Layered:
Displays the type of layering used by the current Kit file. This control
is also used to enter a description of the Kit's layering when a new Kit
file is created. A Kit file can be either single or multi-layered.
Rating:
Displays a qualitative rating of the quality of the Kit file. This control is
also used to enter the rating for a Kit when a new Kit file is created.
Style:
Displays the musical style of the current Kit file. This control is also
used to enter the Style of the Kit when a new Kit file is created.
Credits:
A reference to the creator of the Kit file. This control is also used to
enter a reference to the creator of the Kit file when a new Kit file is
created.
User 1:
A user-definable Kit file attribute. This control is also used to enter a
user-definable Kit file attribute when a new Kit file is created.
User 2:
A user-definable Kit file attribute. This control is also used to enter a
user-definable Kit file attribute when a new Kit file is created.
User 3:
A user-definable Kit file attribute. This control is also used to enter a
user-definable Kit file attribute when a new Kit file is created.
Save:
Saves the current Kit file settings to the RMV's internal Kit library.
Live:
The Live button opens the Live Kit display. This display enables Kits
to be configured for use in live performance. The Live Kit display is
explained in more detail below.
