our Flying Yankee is illuminated by four lamps, one behind the headlight lens, one in
each vestibule section, and one in the rear of the observation car.
To replace the headlight, remove the screw that holds the motor body in the locomotive. See
Figure 4. Slide the motor body slightly back and it will come free of the locomotive. Unscrew the
burned out lamp and replace with Lionel part no. 610-1449-300 available through Lionel Customer
Service.
To replace the lamp in the observation car, remove that screw shown in Figure 4 and unscrew
the burned out lamp. Replace with Lione part no. 610-1449-300 available through Lionel Customer
Service.
To replace the lamps in the vestibule section, uncouple the cars and un screw the burned out lamp
and replace with Lione part no. 610-1449-300 available through Lionel Customer Service.
