Installing the O-gauge coupler head
A
n O-gauge coupler head is included with your locomotive for those who may wish to "double-
head" their trains with a second VISION Line Hudson or another LEGACY-equipped locomotive.
To swap out the coupler heads, simply loosen the screw that holds the front coupler in
place (located on the underside of the locomotive toward the end of the coupler's shank) and
slide the scale coupler out of the coupler pocket. Slide the O-gauge coupler into position and
secure it in place with the screw.
Installing the scale pilot trucks
A
n O-gauge (scale) pilot truck is included
with your locomotive for those who may
wish to operate or display the locomotive with
more prototypical flanges.
To remove the truck, turn the locomotive
over onto a padded surface. See Figure 11. With
a Philips screwdriver, remove the link screw,
which secures the pilot truck to the frame. Lift
the pilot truck off the frame, being careful not
to pull on the attached wire. Turn the pilot
truck over and remove the screw that secures
the wire to the top of the plot truck frame. Place
the pilot truck in a safe place for future use.
To install the scale pilot truck, attach the
wire to the top of the truck, securing it tightly
with the screw. Place the scale pilot truck into
position on the frame and secure the link to the
frame with the remaining screw. Finally, make
sure that the pilot truck moves without binding
or interfering with the wire.
