TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

MALFUNCTIONS
If the appliance malfunctions, it may be due to a minor problem that you can rectify by following
the instructions in the table below. Before you call in a technician, you should carry out the
following checks:
Problem
Possible cause
Solution
The appliance doesn’t
work.
Power cut.
Open the door and check that
the LED lamp lights up.
The plug is not plugged in or
is not properly inserted.
Plug the plug into the mains
supply.
The installation fuse has
blown or is faulty.
Check the fuse and replace it
if necessary.
The socket outlet is defective.
Repairs on the mains supply
must be carried out by an
electrician.
The inside lighting does
not work.
The appliance is not
connected or the LED lamp
is faulty.
Please contact your retailer’s
after-sales service.
There are bad odours
inside the appliance.
Smelly food (e. g. cheese) must be properly packaged. Check
that there are no expired foods. If necessary, remove them.
Check that there are no deposits in the outlet (see above).
Clean the inside of the appliance with warm water and a little
white vinegar. Then rinse with clean water.
The compressor operates
continuously.
This is normal in summer when the ambient temperature is
high.
Do not store too much food or food that has not cooled down
in the appliance.
Do not open the doors too frequently.
Unusual noises.
The appliance is not straight.
Adjust the feet.
The appliance is touching the
wall or other objects.
Move the appliance slightly.
Some noises are
characteristic of refrigeration
equipment.
Refer to the “Noise while in
use” section.

Solution
Door seals are not airtight.
The door seals are dirty.
Clean them with water and a
soft sponge.
You may have just reversed
the direction that the doors
opens.
Carefully heat the leaking
sections of the joints with
a hair dryer (set to cool). At
the same time, correct the
position of the joints by hand.
The appliance does not
cool down enough.
The food products are too
warm.
The temperature is set
incorrectly.
Please refer to the
“Temperature settings”
section.
The door remained open for a
long time.
Do not open the door for any
longer than necessary.
A large amount of food has
been placed in the appliance
within the last 24 hours.
Temporarily set the
thermostat to a colder
temperature. Avoid overfi lling
the inside of the refrigerator.
The appliance is located close
to a heat source.
Please refer to the
“Installation location” section.
The compressor does not
start immediately after
a change in temperature
setting.
This is normal, it is not a
malfunction.
The compressor will start
after a while.
There is water at the
bottom of the appliance or
on the shelves.
The defrost water drain hole
is blocked.
Refer to the “Cleaning and
maintenance” section.

and do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself
