TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
IMPORTANT:
When the plastic parts of the refrigerator remain stained with oil for a
long time (animal or vegetable), they deteriorate easily and can crack. Clean and wash
the dirty parts with hot water immediately.
The drainage mechanism can get dirty very easily and cause unpleasant odours; get
into the habit of cleaning it regularly (see the “Cleaning” section).

A malfunction may be due to a minor problem that you can solve yourself using the
instructions in the following table. Before calling a technician, perform the following
checks:

The thermostat is in the

Turn the thermostat knob
to 4.
The plug is not plugged in
or is improperly plugged
in.

it if necessary.
The electrical socket is
defective.
Repairs to the socket should
be done by an electrician.
The appliance cools down
too much.
The thermostat is set to
a temperature that is too
cold.
Temporarily

thermostat to a warmer
temperature.
The interior lighting is not
working.
The bulb is defective.
Replace it.

A large amount of frost is
forming; sometimes even
on the door seal.
The door seal is leaky (pe

rhaps after reversing the
direction the door opens).
Carefully heat the leaking
seal sections with a hair
dryer (set to cool). At the
same time, correct the
position of the door seal
with your hand.
